Caffeine-free tea gifts for everyone on your list

The boxed gift sets

Each set holds three of our blends: 45 biodegradable tea bags in total, boxed and ready to wrap. They're £21.99 each with free UK postage, and they're the simplest choice if you'd like the gift to look finished the moment it arrives.

For the night owl or the bath-and-book type: Sleep & Relax

Camomile, Peppermint & Lavender, and Camomile & Lemon Balm. All three are naturally caffeine free, so it suits anyone who loves a cup in the evening, whether that's with a film, a book or a long bath. If you only buy one tea gift this year, make it this one.

For the foodie and the after-dinner crowd: Digest & Reset

Peppermint, Lemon Balm, Lemongrass & Ginger, and Peppermint & Lavender. Crisp mint and warming ginger make it a natural fit for the big Christmas dinner. It's caffeine free too, so it's a good one for the person who always offers to do the washing up.

Stocking fillers under £10

A single 15-bag pouch makes up to 30 cups, slips easily into a stocking and costs less than a fancy coffee shop visit or two. Pair one with a favourite mug for a thoughtful Secret Santa gift.

• Camomile (£7.99): the classic bedtime cup, pure camomile flowers with nothing added.
• Camomile & Lemon Balm (£8.99): soft and floral with a light citrus note.
• Peppermint & Lavender (£8.99): cool mint with a gentle floral finish.
• Lemon Balm, Lemongrass & Ginger (£8.99): bright and warming, great for cold December afternoons.

For the tea lover who has everything: loose leaf

If they already have a cupboard full of tea bags, loose leaf feels like a step up. Whole camomile flowers and full peppermint leaves have room to open in the pot, which gives a fuller, more aromatic cup. Each 50g pouch makes around 40 to 60 cups. Add a simple tea infuser or a small glass teapot and you have a lovely gift.

For coffee lovers and green tea fans: Energy & Focus

Not everyone wants caffeine free. For the friend who lives on coffee, the Energy & Focus set pairs two Japanese green teas, Sencha and Hojicha, with Peppermint. Please note that sencha and hojicha do contain caffeine: sencha has a light amount, and roasted hojicha is naturally low in caffeine. The peppermint is caffeine free.

Hojicha's toasty, caramel-like flavour makes it a great winter tea. Our hojicha brewing guide and sencha brewing guide make a nice note to tuck inside the card.

Simple ways to make a tea gift feel special

• Add a mug or a cup and saucer: a charity-shop find or a handmade mug makes the gift personal.
• Include a jar of local honey: it pairs beautifully with camomile and with lemon balm, lemongrass & ginger.
• Write the brewing tips in the card: for example, "freshly boiled water, 5 minutes, then a spoon of honey".
• Build a little hamper: one of our sets, shortbread, a candle and a pair of cosy socks.
• Give a "tea of the month": wrap three single pouches and label them January, February and March.
